John represents public and private employers in labor and employment matters, including collective bargaining, arbitration proceedings, Wage and Hour Act, OSHA, fair employment practices and executive compensation. His practice involves federal and state court work, practice before the EEO/FEP agencies, work with the Department of Labor, NLRB, and the Nebraska Commission of Industrial Relations (organizing efforts, unit determination, and prohibited practice proceedings). He also serves as a mediator in employment cases. An additional focus of his practice includes representing members of the print and broadcast media on First Amendment issues, libel and slander, open meetings and public record laws, open courts and other access issues.
