Dan’s practice includes wills, trusts and fiduciary administration; retirement and executive compensation planning; family charitable foundations and charitable gifting programs; family wealth transfers, such as “dynasty” planning, and “incentive” and “social responsibility” trusts; business organizations and succession planning; family mediation services; elder law; estate and trust litigation, including will contests, surcharge actions, fiduciary accountings and related contested issues; probate and postmortem tax and family planning; guardianships and conservatorships; “family office” services for high net worth clients. As part of this emphasis, Dan delivers high-quality legal services and coordinates delivery of non-legal services for clients that often involve family mission and value statements, financial services and budget analysis, tax preparation, health and home care, family mediation, counseling and negotiation.
