Cline Williams: Success Rooted in Lasting Values

For decades, Cline Williams has remained preeminent in the practicing bar by selecting outstanding law students and new lawyers who share our convictions. When other firms chose to promote competition among junior lawyers, Cline Williams stuck with the values that have yielded 160 years of success: Teamwork, trust, and unity.

A Cline Williams associate is polished and disciplined, speaks and writes with clarity and force, and has demonstrated the strength, selflessness and humility to contribute to a team.

We select people with these attributes believing they will grow, prosper, and one day become our partners. As a result, our associates are talented, ambitious, fiercely loyal to one another, and genuinely delightful coworkers.

A Summer at Cline Williams

Each year, Cline Williams selects several high-achieving law students to join the firm as summer associates. We will offer each of our summer associates the opportunity to work with a wide variety of practices and practitioners. You'll get real work for real clients. You'll accompany our lawyers to court appearances, transaction closings, and client meetings. We'll also do a little socializing - join us for informal lunches and happy hours as well as the traditional "Day of Fun" - an all-day outing with the associates.

Future Partners

As an associate, we'll match your talents to our opportunities. You'll be in a practice group, initially responsible to the senior lawyers in our firm. We'll help you expand your skills as quickly as your abilities and ambition permit. You'll be in contact with clients, judges, and important matters. Once you become a Cline Williams lawyer, we are committed to your career.
